Hemenway Explorers Information



Kelley Ratcliffe is the Manager or our Elementary Programs. We are excited to announce that Framingham Public Schools is launching the Explorers Before and After School program at Hemenway Elementary School this fall.  Since 2013, the district has explored and piloted alternative models for expanding access to more affordable Out of School Time (OST) programming. By transitioning from subcontracting OST programs to an in-district model under the Office of Community Resource Development, we have been able to make programming affordable while maintaining quality. In addition to before and after school programming, families can expect to receive programming during some non-school days, vacation weeks and over the summer. The program offers a flexible, high-quality focus through project-based learning, outdoor play, and STEAM curriculum with additional after school clubs based in arts, sports, science, and many other subjects.
